Winnow is operated by Floodgates Studio LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company ("Winnow," "we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the Winnow mobile apps, web app, browser extension, or related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Winnow helps you save articles and surface the ideas inside them over time. The Service includes:
You sign in with an email magic link — there's no password to manage. You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at hello@winnow.site if you suspect unauthorized use.

You're responsible for the articles you save. By saving content, you confirm that you have the right to access it and that personal use through Winnow is consistent with the source's terms. We don't claim ownership of anything you save; you grant us the limited license needed to store, process, generate idea cards from, and display that content back to you in the Service.
Winnow only saves what is visible to you at the time you click Save. We don't bypass paywalls or access controls.
Idea cards are AI-generated summaries and interpretations, not exact reproductions of the source. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of context. Treat them as prompts for your own thinking, not as authoritative citations. You're responsible for verifying any idea before relying on it for an important decision.
Winnow offers a free tier and may offer paid subscriptions ("Premium"). If you subscribe through Apple's App Store or Google Play, billing, renewal, refunds, and cancellation are handled by the store under its terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your store account settings.
We work to keep the Service running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we make a material change that affects you (for example, retiring a feature you rely on), we'll give reasonable notice when we can.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing hello@winnow.site. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to other users or to the Service.
When you delete, your saved articles, idea cards, embeddings, push tokens, and notification history are removed from active systems within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy for details.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that idea cards will be accurate or that the Service will be error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Floodgates Studio LLC and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $100.
You agree to defend and hold harmless Floodgates Studio LLC from any claim arising from content you save through the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms occasionally. If a change is material, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, give notice in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
