• Article content that you have already accessed and viewed in your browser

Account Information: We collect your email address for authentication via magic links. We do not collect passwords.

Usage Data: We may collect basic usage information to improve our service, such as when you save articles or interact with idea cards.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain our service
• Generate AI-powered idea cards from your saved content
• Send you notifications about your saved ideas (you can opt out)
• Improve our service and develop new features

4. Content Capture Policy

User-Initiated Only: Winnow only captures content that you explicitly save. We do not:

• Automatically scrape or download websites
• Access content in the background without your knowledge
• Bypass paywalls or access controls
• Revisit URLs to refresh or update content

What You See Is What We Save: Winnow saves only the content that is visible to you in your browser at the time you click "Save". If content is blocked by a paywall or access control, we cannot and do not save it.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on our servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Your saved content is private to you. We do not share your articles, idea cards, or personal information with third parties except as described in this policy.

6. AI Processing

We use AI services (currently OpenAI) to generate idea cards from your saved content. When processing your content:

• Your content is sent to our AI provider for processing
• We do not use your content to train AI models
• AI providers are contractually obligated to protect your data

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party services that help us operate our service (e.g., hosting, AI processing)
